A little about My Journey

I know how important it can be to get a sense of the person behind the therapy, and whether you feel comfortable enough to begin that conversation.

Here you'll find out a little more about me, my background, and the life experiences that have shaped the way I work, both personally and professionally.

How I Came to this work

I have a Spanish, Italian and Polish background, and have travelled and lived in many different countries. I believe that this exposure to different cultures and beliefs has fostered an open and inclusive approach to humanistic counselling, where differences can be explored with compassion and without judgement.

Having benefitted immensely from psychotherapy over a 25-year period, I was inspired to embrace a lifestyle change and retrain from being a company director in the health and beauty sector into counselling and psychotherapy. Making this shift has brought a much deeper sense of meaning and connection to my life.

Alongside my private practice, I have worked within the NHS supporting adults experiencing stress, depression, relationship difficulties and trauma. I have also worked within bereavement services, and continue to support young people through Here4You, working within secondary schools with students navigating emotional and relational difficulties at this stage of life.

I am a fully insured counsellor and registered with the BACP. I can offer my services in English, Italian and Spanish.

My Education and Training

  • First-class BA (Hons) and Diploma in Person Centred Counselling from Metanoia
  • Registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

  • Qualified in Brainspotting, a trauma-informed,  body-based therapeutic approach
  • Ongoing professional development, supervision, training and reflective practice to stay up-to-date within the field

The Relationship at the centre

At the heart of my work is the belief that people need spaces where they can be met with honesty, empathy and without judgement. I believe meaningful change often begins not through pressure or fixing, but through feeling safe enough to explore what has been difficult to hold alone.

Much of my approach has been influenced by Person-Centred Therapy and the work of Carl Rogers, whose understanding of human growth and relationships continues to shape the way I work today.

Taking the first step

If you are considering therapy, I know that getting in touch can sometimes feel like a big step. Whether you already know what you would like support with, or are still trying to find the words for it, you will be met with warmth, care and wholehearted attention.

I offer a free 30-minute introductory session, giving us a chance to talk and explore whether this feels like the right way forward for you.
